My Last Travel Before Coronavirus + Joining a Fan Girls’ Trip
It was cold during the first month of December – much colder than I expected. I flew into Fukuoka, Japan to join my friends who were set to watch the Arashi Concert.
Here’s an interesting introduction to this story. Sometime in March 2019 (we were eating Japanese Curry at that time!), my friends asked me to help them pray for them to get a slot in the Arashi Concert. They always think that I am God’s favorite (it is strange, but it is true – but I always get what I prayed for). 👼 I learned that Arashi is different from other boy groups – the ticket process is like a lottery and you have to be a member of the Fan Club.
You know what they say that prayers work. It does. 🙏🏻

So when they told me they won the slot for the concert – I decided to join them!
I thought it would be nice to just go, fly and have a nice vacation. Japan is my favorite country, after all. We didn’t really have an itinerary. I guess my way of travel has changed. I used to be that traveler who always wanted to experience and see a lot of things during the trip. For this travel, we oftentimes start our day at 12 pm. I enjoyed the lazy walks and occasional photo shoots for the ‘gram.
It was indeed a fan girls’ trip and I shared with them the excitement of buying merchandise and getting ready for the concert. We even went to a Mandarake Store to check out more merchandise. They took endless photos of the band in malls and trains. I joined them.
I wish to do my own fan girl trip soon. But I guess, it would remain on my bucketlist for the longest time now that air travel is restricted. I am glad that I joined this girls’ trip. I know travel would change because of the Coronavirus pandemic and there wouldn’t be concerts and meet-ups.
I will be sharing more about my Fukuoka Trip in the coming blogs.
