A theme park above the clouds – about 6,000 feet above sea level is the Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park.
On Day 1 of our #CEBFliesKualaLumpur trip, we had a fun day touring the SkyWorlds Theme Park.
We took a cable car ride and we were welcomed with foggy and cool weather which is perfect for a day of exploration.
The Genting SkyWorlds features 26 rides from 9 movies and adventure-inspired worlds – Eagle Mountain, Central Park, Liberty Lane, Robots Rivets, Andromeda Base, Ice Age, Epic, and Rio.
We had a fun day exploring the theme park, trying the rides and taking photos/videos. There is also an exciting mix of live entertainment, retail, and dining experiences.
I particularly enjoyed the 4D Ride entitled “Independence Day”, as well as the big world of Epic (it feels good to feel petite just for a few minutes!).
There are different kiosks where you can buy favorite theme park snacks like popcorn, burgers and pizza, and even coffee (for addicts like me!).
Before heading back to the cable car station, you may also check out the indoor Theme Park, SkyTropolis with different amusement rides and an indoor zipline.
How to Go to Genting SkyWorlds
Car: about 1 hour drive away from Kuala Lumpur | parking is available at various locations – Resorts World Genting and Genting Highlands Premium Outlets
Cable Car: accessible via Awana Skyway (around 10-minute ride that offers spectacular view and experience!).
Bus: available via different locations in Klang Valley. Check the Genting SkyWorlds website for update.
E-hailing Services: pickup and drop-off points: Genting Grand Hotel, First World Hotel and Ground Transportation Hub
Ticket Prices
There are different packages that cater to different groups and travel styles.
For an individual ticket (with photo), costs RM 179 (Php 2,261).

Travel Tips
- Face mask is no longer required outside the theme park, but I personally wear face mask to keep myself protected.
- Indoor amusement ride requires face mask.
- Wear something comfortable, or something you can layer. The weather is cool so a light jacket or blazer is good to wear.
- Do check out the Genting Premium Outlet Store. The store offers really good deals.
